For the past thirty years bands like Radiohead, R.E.M., and Nirvana have been blasting out of our radio speakers with tunes like Karma Police, Creep, Losing My Religion, Man on the Moon, All Apologies, and Smells Like Teen Spirit. These bands performed some of the most influential music of the eighties and nineties—and their music is coming back with a vengeance. Re-imagined and reworked by the renowned and highly revered classical pianist, Christopher O’Riley, these classic rock songs are revived in a refreshing and unique way.

On January 26, Christopher O’Riley’s will tickle the ivory keys, performing his highly respected album “Out of My Hands.” Since the triumphant release of True Love Waits, pianist Christopher O’Riley’s re-imagining of works by Radiohead, Elliott Smith and Nick Drake have garnered critical accolades and international acclaim, including the only four-star review ever given by Rolling Stone to a Classical pianist.

Christopher O’Riley’s performance of “Out of My Hands,” will feature work by slew of artists we all know and love including Portishead, Cocteau Twins, Pink Floyd, The Bad Plus, The Smiths, Tears for Fears as well as material from Elliott Smith.
