Jacob Herrick Roak: Legacies from Auburn’s Industrial Past (Senior College in the Community)

This talk will explore the industrial legacies through a look at the history of three extant Auburn buildings:  Phoenix Block, Roak Block, and Barker Mill — and Jacob Roak’s role in their establishment.

This talk will be presented by Lin Wright.  Lin is a genealogist and historian who enjoys researching people and using their lives to illustrate the larger stories of different times and places.  Lin earned an MA in American and New England Studies from the University of Southern Maine and holds a certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University.  She currently teaches genealogical subjects at LA Senior College, serves on the Senior College Board, is President of the Asbury Grove Historical Society, and is her church’s historian.
