On July 26 L/A Arts will host their final Auburn venue Sounds of Summer Concert. Maximum Blue will perform at the Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn at 12PM and play until 1PM. The public is invited to come and take in wonderful music and groove with Maximum Blue. Sounds of Summer free noontime concerts will continue on August 2 in Lewiston at Fountain Park at Bates Mill. The Sounds of Summer concert series is generously sponsored by Bates Mill Complex, Liberty Mutual and Patrons Oxford.
Maximum Blue features Max Silverstein, Jeff Silverstein and Nancy Merrill. The trio offers a wide selection of bluegrass, newgrass and swing, and celtic-style fiddle tunes. Max is the centerpiece of the trio and plays an energetic and upbeat lead fiddle. Jeff on guitar, and Nancy on the upright bass, provide a steady, driving rhythm propelling Max’s fiery fiddle work. Max is one of Maine’s emerging young talents, and together Maximum Blue takes traditional fiddle music to new heights.
