APL Kids: The Power of Pollination

Join APL for an afternoon to learn about pollinators! One in every three bites of food we take is created by pollinators! But how does it work? Special guest Emma Lorusso (AVSWCD) will teach us all about the pollinators we find in Maine. We’ll play some games to learn how pollination works, how bees communicate, and more! Then we’ll build an “Insect Hotel”–a place where native pollinators can live and take care of their babies. Then we’ll take a walk around the library yard and look for pollinators and find a good spot to hang our newly built hotel. This program is for all ages. Space is limited, please register on our website. www.auburnpubliclibrary.org
This program is brought to you by the Androscoggin Valley Soil & Walter Conservation District and the Auburn Public Library.
