Opening in conjunction with Art Walk Lewiston Auburn and Diner en Blanc

“I enjoy painting lavishing landscapes with a fantasy twist… I love to use bright, vivid colors to show the true beauty that nature holds.”– Richard Seger

Local Maine artist Richard Seger hesitates when asked what to call his collection.   “I’ve never done anything like this before,” he admits.  After a moment he settles on a word: debut.  A beginning. A culmination of his lifetime passion for art and nature that began with a childhood love of doodling and  has since been advanced through studies in graphic arts and illustration at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. For Seger, his art is very much connected to his sense of personal well being, “I am my best when I am in my art room working…I like to challenge myself.”
