Oasis of Music at the Basilica welcomes fiddler Owen Kennedy
Winthrop fiddler Owen Kennedy will perform at the Oasis of Music, held at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Lewiston, on Wednesday November 11, beginning at 12:30.
Kennedy is embracing his Scottish heritage and sharing fiddle tunes from Scotland for this Oasis of Music concert. From soaring slow airs to percussive strathspeys and driving reels, let your spirit take a quick trip to Scotland while you listen in the gorgeous Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. This concert will showcase tunes Owen has been learning from National Fiddle Champion, Seán Heely.
Free and open to the public, accommodating 35 masked, socially-distanced audience members, first-come-first-seated.
