Oasis of Music at the Basilica Presents Jordan Berube, Guitar

Jordan Berube will perform on guitar at the Oasis of Music, held in the downstairs chapel of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Wednesday April 14, from 12:30 to 1.

Lewiston native Jordan Berube has been an active musician for over 10 years in the Maine music community. He is a composer of original ambient finger-style soundscapes.

In his own words, “I am heavily influenced by the melodies of Sigur Ros and Radiohead, the rhythmic patterns of Steve Riech and Terry Riley, the finger stylings of Robbie Basho, and the beautiful simplicity of Arvo Part and Johann Johannsson. I try to recreate the beauty and delicacy of life through music.
“I will be performing an original solo electric guitar composition that guides the listener into a beautiful ambient safe place that we all need right now.”

Admission to the Oasis of Music is free, with donations accepted.   Covid restrictions of mask-wearing, social distancing are observed, with a maximum number of attendees set at 35.  For more information call 344-3106.
