Oasis of Music at the Basilica presents Irish fiddler Alden Robinson

Alden Robinson will perform at the Oasis of Music, held at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Wednesday January 20, from 12:30 to 1.

Alden Robinson comes from midcoast Maine. He grew up playing the fiddle at dances and sessions in the local area. He started playing more intently in college and spent a semester in Cork, Ireland studying music. He has lived in Maine since then, in Portland and now Bowdoinham. He plays with the dance band Riptide, Irish trad band The Press Gang, and many other wonderful musicians from the area. He teaches privately and in the summer at Maine Fiddle Camp.

Admission to the Oasis of Music is free, with donations accepted. Covid restrictions of mask-wearing, social distancing are observed, with a maximum number of attendees set at 35. For more information call 344-3106.
