The Oasis of Music is proud to present the fiddle music of Don and Cindy Roy, at Trinity Commons, 247 Bates Street in Lewiston, Wednesday September 27, beginning at 12:30.

The Roys are the premier fiddle and piano duo of Maine, whose music has been dubbed “the aural signature of the pine tree state.” They direct the acclaimed fiddle orchestra Fiddleicious (well-known to Lewiston audiences) and are recipients of the National Heritage Fellowship award for their accomplishments. Aside from performing, Don Roy makes and restores violins.

The Oasis of Music is a weekly music series of performances of roughly thirty minutes, running from September to May. Admission is free, with donations accepted. The musical genres vary greatly, in largely, but not exclusively, acoustic formats. For more information, call 207-344-3106.
