MONARCH BUTTERFLIES AT THE LEWISTON PUBLIC LIBRARY!

Stop By and Meet Our Monarch Caterpillars!🐛

Throughout the month of August, there will be a series of butterfly-themed programs in the Lewiston Public Library’s Children’s Department.

The Children’s Department will be offering free programs and passive activities for all ages centered around butterflies and their life cycle. There will be live Monarch caterpillars in the Children’s Department that patrons can watch develop through metamorphosis. Regular social media posts will feature the caterpillars’ progression through their release as mature butterflies.

Check the library’s website at https://lplonline.org/kids/childrens-programs/ for a full list of upcoming events.

All programs count towards Summer Reading participation. There is no registration required for the programs and all materials will be provided.

Admission is free to all Summer Reading events and no library card is required to participate in the reading programs. Prizes must be picked up in person at the library.

The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street.
