SUMMARY:UMaine’s Touch Tank Hands-On Experience
DESCRIPTION:Saturday, August 8th youth are invited to experience UMaine’s Touch Tank Hands-On Experience at the Lewiston Public Library in Callahan Hall.\nThe Summer Reading program will provide the opportunity for participants to touch and learn about a variety of ocean creatures including a sea star, an anemone, and different types of crabs.\n\nThere will be two sessions for this program. The first session is from 10:30AM-11:30AM and the second session will be from 11:45AM-12:45PM.\nTo allow participants to get the best experience and allow access to the tank and its creatures and the accompanying information registration is necessary.\nEach session can accommodate 20 youth.\nThis program is recommended for youth between the ages of 5-13. Children under 8 years of age must be always supervised by an adult.\n\nRegistration is required. \nTo register please contact the Children’s Department at LPLKids@lewistonmaine.gov or call us at 207-513-3133.\nIf you register and find out you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible so we can contact youth on the waiting list.\n\nThe Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street.\n
