L/A Arts
Mission: To integrate the
arts into the fabric of life in the community served.
L/A Arts primary purpose is to increase awareness, appreciation and
support of the arts in the Lewiston Auburn (Maine) area. L/A Arts is a
501(c)3 not-for-profit organization
L/A Arts presents performances
throughout the year in both which includes live performing arts events in
music, theater, and family entertainment. L/A Arts also collaborates with local
educational institutions and community organizations, facilitating
artist residencies, workshops, and other arts events for public school
children, their teachers and community groups. In addition, L/A
Arts presents the visual arts in various community spaces and manages
two galleries, Gallery 5 and the Community Gallery, where artwork is
displayed and offered for sale. As the designated Local Arts Agency,
L/A Arts works with other arts organizations and community groups to
support and promote the arts in and for the Greater Androscoggin area.
